Eddie Teddie is Skydiving for Charity

Hello friends,

It’s your pal, Eddie, here. This month I am taking part in something really scary! I am doing a sponsored skydive to raise money for charity.

If you don’t know what a skydive is, it’s when you jump out of an aeroplane. You free fall for 40 seconds, reaching speeds of 120mph, then the instructor opens a parachute to safely float down to the ground, which takes about 6 minutes.

The aeroplane goes two miles into the sky which is really, really high. I think it will make my tummy feel funny when I jump but I love an adrenaline rush.

Children aren’t usually allowed to skydive, but I have got special permission from the Skydive team to say I’m allowed to do it. I just need to be attached to the skydiving expert and hold on very tightly.

I will be skydiving with Bob, Emma, Aymi, Lily, Reegan, Jake and Zoe from the Face to Face Finance team. We are all really excited but a little bit nervous for the skydive.

We are raising money for a local charity called StarThrowers. You may remember that I climbed Snowdon a couple of months ago to raise money for the charity. They are really amazing, helping people who are poorly with Cancer and the people who look after them at home too.

Can you sponsor us?

The skydive is taking place on 31st July and we would love to get as many donations as possible before we do it. Knowing we have raised a lot of money for a great charity will be really motivating and encourage us to jump out of the plane. We have nearly raised £2,700 so far!

If you, or your grown-ups, could spare a few pounds to sponsor the skydive we would be really grateful! You can sponsor us on our Just Giving page.

Keep an eye on the Face to Face Finance Facebook page or Instagram account to see how we get on.

Wish us luck!
