Hello Friends, it’s Eddie Teddie.
I love the summer holidays, it means I get to go out on lots of adventures with my mum.
This year I got to go to the seaside town of Great Yarmouth. There were so many fun things to see and do! Have you been to Great Yarmouth with your family?
The beach was so big and sandy, I am still brushing sand out of my fur now! I went for a paddle in the sea and jumped over lots of waves. It was so much fun splashing around.
Next to the beach there was a pier, we walked along the pier which went out over the sea! I was walking over the water! It made my knees a little wobbly at first. Next to the pier was a very fun place called Joyland, I went on the snail ride.
One day we went to the circus which was amazing! There were acrobats, strong men and a clown too. He was so funny, but I got a little bit nervous when the acrobats were flying through the air.
After the circus we went and played a game of crazy golf, I was the winner! I counted the holes as we went around and there were lots, 18 in total!
My favourite part of the trip was when we went to the Sea Life Centre. I saw penguins, turtles, an octopus and even a scary shark! The best part about the Sea Life Centre was the rockpools because you are allowed to touch some of the animals which live in our seas.
Mum told me that the Sea Life Centre do lots of conservation work just like we did when we went to St. Kilda. They help the animals living in the wild and even clean rubbish from the beaches to keep them safe. I think the people who work at the Sea Life Centre are very kind.
We ate fish and chips and ice cream almost every day as we were by the seaside!
I was having such a lovely time that I wanted to buy a little souvenir to remind myself of our holiday. I chose to buy a book from the Sea Life Centre. With the change I had from buying my souvenir I decided to buy my best friends a little present too. I bought them a stick of rock each with the name ‘Great Yarmouth’ written in it. That way I was able to share my adventure with them too.
I feel very lucky to have had such a lovely holiday, and it wasn’t very far from home either! I hope I can go back again soon.
Lots of love,
Eddie Teddie x
